Education is one of the RBN’s top priorities, forming the foundation for building a self-reliant and thriving community.

The Royal Bafokeng Institute (RBI) was established in 2007 to lead and coordinate efforts to improve the standard of education across the Bafokeng community. Our approach is broad and inclusive, focusing not only on early childhood and school-level education, but also on adult learning and community-based education initiatives – all with the goal of nurturing a nation of lifelong learners.

Lebone II College of the Royal Bafokeng is a flagship institution in our education system and plays a key role in driving excellence and innovation in teaching and learning. Beyond the College, we support a total of 44 schools across the community. This includes direct support to 17 neighbouring schools through initiatives such as teacher training, learner support programmes, infrastructure upgrades and the provision of learning materials. We also manage 14 early learning centres and preschools to ensure that children are given a strong educational foundation from their earliest years.
